How is everyone dealing with credit repair companies? In the past I have just sent the letters back as "return to sender". If the return address was the debtor, they called in and most didn't know anything about the letter to begin with. We have no written or oral communication directly from the debtor that states they are represented by this "credit repair" company. The letter is being sent by the credit repair company. The type of stamp or postmark is an indication.
There is a new (to us anyway) company that has their PO BOX as the return address. The PO BOX no longer exists (or never did) so all mail comes right back to us.
If we do open the letter, it is the standard cease language. We have tried to contact them regarding the debtor but get no response. I know it is a small percentage of our inventory but it is frustrating that these companies take debtor's money and don't do anything to resolve the debt.
